At San Clemente we are committed to developing a genuine love of learning in our students. Our young people today belong to an ever changing world and it is vital they are equipped with the skills to succeed in life. Our vision is to develop confident and independent students who are lifelong learners, problem solvers, and collaborative, critical and creative thinkers. Classes have been created in Years 7 and 8 to allow for students with high ability, and there is particular emphasis on supporting students with disabilities.
Staff at San Clemente regularly reflect on and evaluate contemporary teaching and learning practice. The school is committed to the introduction of pedagogy and technology suitable to the 21st Century and staff professional development is well supported in order to assist in promoting deep student learning. The school has had major upgrades to technology over the last several years and all students are expected to have a personal laptop or tablet to enrich their learning.
More information on the curriculum can be found on the Board of Studies website, and at the Australian Curriculum website.
